The Knysna ladies were in celebratory mood on Saturday 12th February when, after an 11-year wait, they finally beat the men 10 matches to 6 in the annual Skirts v Shirts event.
Played on the Saturday closest to Valentine’s Day, the competition always attracts a large number of entries and this year was no exception with 64 members taking part. Lady Captain Sam Bruce was delighted to receive the Phoenix Cup – a Scottish Quaich presented to the club when its premises re-opened after the devastating clubhouse fire in 2010.
