The second year of the now annual “Ryder Cup” match at KGC between the ‘Dutchies’ and the English took place from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th October.
There are four rounds played over 3 days with 1 x better ball game on day 1, 1 x foursomes and 1 x better ball game on day 2 and then singles on the final day. Team Harry (English) was captained by Stephen Lee and Team Dutchies (Afrikaans) by Hendri van der Merwe with 12 players per team taking part.
Created and organised by our Director of Golf Chris Dixon the purpose of the match is to raise funds and support the UPS FOR DOWNS in George, a downs syndrome school.
And the final result: Team Dutchies won 17 – 13
