@Home @Last!

Our re-scheduled Ladies’ @Home day is on Thursday March 14th. It will be an 8.30am shotgun start, so please make sure you arrive in good time. Can all ladies taking part please bring a plate of sweet, fruity or savoury snacks, so our guests can have something tasty to eat on arrival & at halfway.

Please don’t forget to pay your entry fee well in advance – it’s R300 per person. You can pay at the green fee office or by EFT. If you’re doing the latter, please send your proof of payment to Judith Flevill.

Also, please remember to wear club colours – stone/beige bottoms, white top & lime green trim.

Happy to report that we have a full field for event, but please note that this may change slightly between now & the 14th…there are always the inevitable ‘drops outs’ & substitutions!

Mixed Championship

There was a terrific turnout for the event on Sunday 3rd March. The vast majority of the 28 four-balls were club members, so well done to everyone who took part.

THE RESULTS:
Champions: Angela & David Iddles. Nett 61

Second: Debby McClelland & Errol Siebrits. Nett 62
Third: Alastair Simmonds & Denyse Higgenbotham. Nett 64
Fourth: Jeni Gorden & Nigel Hanworth. Nett 65
Congratulations to all the winners (and the rest of us gallant participants) for making it a superb day.

Zoe Marr Trophy

The event attracted a large number of competitors on Saturday 2nd March who played in honour of one of our most much-loved members. Conditions proved to be a little tough on the day, mainly because the red tee-boxes had been moved back considerably! This probably accounts from the less than stellar scores. However, the star of the day was Sunet Venter with a creditable 35 points.

Epilepsy Appeal

We are lending our support to the refurbishment project at Knysna Epilepsy. A group of volunteers is currently upgrading the ablution facilities that have, unfortunately, fallen into a state of disrepair. We are therefore appealing to our lady members to donate toiletries (for both women & men) as the ‘icing on the cake’ for this very worthwhile upgrade. Please ensure that your contributions are handed in at the green fee office before 14th March.

League Double

Many congratulations to both our silver & bronze league teams who won at Fancourt recently. No mean feat at such as prestigious venue!

Southern Cape Changes

Sadly, Val Holland has been unable to take up the position of President of the Women’s Golf Division. So the SCGU Secretary (Sheila Fraser from George GC)) has stepped in to fill the gap until November this year. She is supported on the committee by Adele van Wyk (Fancourt) & Helen Hills (George).

If you need to contact Sheila, her details are:

Club Champs

These will be held over two days, 23rd & 24th March & all ladies are encouraged to take part – especially now that restrictions on cart usage have been dropped (hooray!) A & B divisions will play medal & C division, stableford. The entry sheets are on the noticeboard next to the green fee office.
